Sober Living Housing

The Green Door Coliving Sober Living Homes provide a safe, structured, and community-based environment for individuals in early recovery from substance use disorders. These homes are designed to support residents as they transition from treatment to independent living. We offer routine, accountability, and peer connection during one of the most vulnerable phases of recovery.

Sober Living is not a form of treatment. It's the foundation that supports long-term sobriety by helping individuals reestablish healthy habits, rebuild their lives, and maintain stability outside of clinical care.

What Is Sober Living?

Sober living is a transitional housing model for individuals who have completed a detox, inpatient rehab program, or who are committed to staying clean and sober in a supportive environment. These homes are drug and alcohol-free, led by peers, and structured around daily routines that promote recovery, responsibility, and reintegration.

Residents live in a shared, fully furnished home and are expected to participate in house meetings, adhere to curfews, maintain their personal space, and actively engage in their recovery process. While these homes are non-clinical, they are rooted in structure and mutual accountability — creating a living environment that supports long-term healing.

What the Homes Offer:

  • Shared or private furnished bedrooms in a safe, clean environment

  • Daily structure, curfew, and clearly defined house rules

  • On-site house manager or lead resident to support oversight and consistency

  • Required abstinence from drugs and alcohol

  • Weekly house meetings and regular drug/alcohol testing

  • Encouragement to attend 12-step programs or other recovery-based meetings

  • Peer support and a judgment-free space for healing

  • Pantry staples and access to a shared kitchen and laundry

Residents must maintain sobriety, participate in daily life activities, and take consistent steps toward personal recovery goals such as employment, therapy, or community involvement.

Who This Is For:

  • Adults in early recovery from alcohol or drug addiction

  • Individuals stepping down from residential treatment, detox, or rehab

  • People who are newly sober and want to maintain accountability

  • Individuals committed to a sober lifestyle and ready to rebuild in a supportive setting

  • Residents stable enough to live in a shared, non-clinical environment with structure

Program Goals

  • Support long-term sobriety and prevent relapse during early recovery

  • Provide structure, safety, and community without the pressure of fully independent living

  • Help residents rebuild daily routines, repair relationships, and regain confidence

  • Act as a bridge between treatment and total independence

Why This Program Works

  • The early stages of recovery are when relapse risk is highest; sober living provides the right level of accountability without overwhelming clinical oversight

  • Peer support reduces isolation and builds confidence

  • Daily structure and community help residents stay focused on recovery goals

  • The Green Door’s sober living homes offer more than housing; they provide a foundation for a new life, surrounded by people who understand the journey
